Sara Ivey

Sara Ivey is passionate about telling stories.
 
She began her career as a news reporter and anchor at the NBC affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa, after graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in journalism. She worked full time as as a staff writer and producer for the CBS affiliate in Dallas, the 6th largest media market in the U.S.  In 1988,  Sara launched her own production company. Today, she hires the most talented freelance photographers, editors, animators, sound engineers and web developers in North Texas for her projects in corporate communications (internal and external), marketing and branding campaigns and as a part of an integrated communications strategy including media relations.

Many of Sara's assignments come from cable television as a segment or episode producer for programs on HGTV, Food Network, Discovery and Science - to name a few.
 
Sara's specialities are health and dentistry. Sara wrote and produced HealthSource, a three times a week medical feature for WFAA-TV (ABC) and Baylor Health Care System for 12 years. She was the creator, writer, director, producer and editor of the award-winning, weekly feature, Dental Health Check with Dr. Linda Niessen, which appeared for 15 years on WFAA-TV and was sponsored by Baylor College of Dentistry. From 1988-2007,  Sara wrote and produced 2,652 medical and dental stories in the series.
